meta_elements is a series of generative artworks based on the abstract material paintings created by the author as purely experimental practice in her workshop in Kyiv, Ukraine. However, the digitalized textures from these paintings were used to create new generative artworks during the Ukrainian-Russian war while being in the bomb shelter as a reminder of peace and balance that were destroyed (that's why the textures of the artworks are endlessly melting).
This series is called meta_elements as a reference to the 4 core elements that exist in nature and are the core of the spiritual balance: earth, water, air, and fire. These elements are believed to be at the core of our Universe. That’s why the prefix "meta" is used. Each of these generative animations reminds us of the balance in the world that is important to maintain and by contract, how everything in our universe is interconnected: chaos in one place impacts the whole system. Likewise, the same rule applies to our inner-self (where meta_elements refers to Carl Jung's four basic personality functions: feeling, thinking, intuition, and sensation).
At this exhibition, the core idea of this series expands by projecting these melting textures on the key Ukrainian monument — the Motherland Monument.
